About the job

The YouTube Product Partnerships team accelerates the growth and innovation of YouTube products by driving new business opportunities through partnerships. We own the business side of new features, products, and initiatives that are vital to the success of YouTube. You know how to assess partnership opportunities in any situation, define a strategy, and work closely within our team, and with Product, Marketing, and other stakeholders to drive critical partnerships that help evolve our business. You have particular strengths in cross-functional leadership. You don't just execute; you're a true thought leader who can clue us into industry trends and key influencers.

As a Manager in the YouTube Product Partnerships Chief of Staff office, you will work closely with the leadership team to help the business grow and operate effectively, ensuring our teams are maintaining a holistic view of our partners and executing against YouTube's most critical priorities. You will establish and lead operating processes for efficiently managing the diverse book of business that the Product Partnerships covers across its sub-teams. This includes driving deliverables for critical internal alignment and approval forums, preparing key leaders for internal and external commitments (e.g., quarterly business reviews, partner meetings, conferences), and supporting annual strategic planning and objectives and key results (OKR) processes. Your ability to quickly analyze a challenge with strategic and quantitative excellence will help propel strategic priorities across the team. You'll simultaneously develop a specialization in some product areas but maintain a generalist mindset to flex into our most urgent needs, and are comfortable frequently engaging with other product areas outside of YouTube (e.g., Android, Shopping).

At YouTube, we believe that everyone deserves to have a voice, and that the world is a better place when we listen, share, and build community through our stories. We work together to give everyone the power to share their story, explore what they love, and connect with one another in the process. Working at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and boundless creativity, we move at the speed of culture with a shared goal to show people the world. We explore new ideas, solve real problems, and have fun - and we do it all together.

  • Own executive-level presentations, including quarterly business reviews, and partner strategy. Bring a sense of narrative and slide design to ensure materials are polished and effective for driving decision-making. Drive the annual planning and global/regional OKR processes in close collaboration with cross-functional leadership.
  • Lead critical strategic and operational projects based on emergent business needs. Participate in early discussions on behalf of the business to scope new projects.
  • Identify problems and issues across the organization proactively, create processes to solve them, and influence cross-functional teams and leadership to bring them to life.
  • Develop operating procedures for ensuring we approach our partnerships holistically across our various product areas at YouTube.
  • Partner closely with other functions including Product and Engineering, Strategy, Finance. Use cross-functional knowledge and seek to understand issues and trends that may influence the business.
