Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 15 years of digital and brand marketing experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • 4 years in media leadership experience at global consumer brands or their agencies
  • Experience in people management; cares deeply about the team. Knowledgeable how to inspire and invested in the team's success
  • Successful track record of breakthrough media campaigns
  • Deep understanding of ad operations, the digital video and overall display landscapes
  • Proficiency in offline media including but not limited to TV, OOH and print
  • Demonstrated accountability of driving business results through media investment

As the Head of Media, you will be responsible for shaping how we connect and communicate with our communities. You'll develop media strategies and campaigns that deliver breakthrough and memorable user experiences that ultimately increase brand love and loyalty.

In this role, you will create holistic media strategies that deliver on your marketing and business goals. You'll have the operational savvy to know how to set up your team, agencies, and the infrastructure to execute flawlessly.

You'll be working across multiple products and programs that serve our consumer, creator, and influencer audiences, and will work closely with other communication channels' leads such as social, in-product, and PR. You will advise the team when you don't believe media is the best way to achieve their goals.

You'll have a knack of spotting patterns and trends before others do and will always have your eyes on consumers, their evolving interests, and their media habits. Your team will be ahead of the curve when it comes to adopting and adapting to the latest changes in industry practice.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a globally central team that creates and drives holistic and dynamic media strategies, campaign development, and execution, and deliver measurable investment impact against marketing and business goals
  • Oversee (direct and prioritize) media agency workflow from communications strategy to wrap up reports for all media (offline and digital)
  • Evolve operational infrastructure to increase speed to insight and action
  • Partner closely with teams across YouTube Marketing, Google Media Lab, and Ad Products teams on creating media campaigns that elevate user experiences
  • Inspire and nurture a high-performing, multidisciplinary team to unlock their full potential for growth and impact
