The Production Support Specialist will be responsible for daily production orders to outside vendors. Receiving and processing production paperwork and printing necessary production tags. Follow up with outside vendors on current and late orders. Fill out tracking spreadsheets. Request, organize, and distribute production blueprints to production floor. In addition to supporting the production scheduler. Benefits offered to all employees: Medical, Dental and Vision insurance 401(k) plan Vacation pay Sick Days and Paid Holidays Performance based bonuses ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Confirm accuracy of orders utilizing database management software Obtain Engineering drawings for the production floor Maintain glass tracking spreadsheet and distribute it to the appropriate departments daily Send glass orders to our numerous vendors prior to the daily deadline Generate purchase orders for glass orders Communicate with our vendors for delivery ETAs Update purchase orders once order acknowledgments are received Receive orders in database management software and turn into the Accounting Department in a timely manner Release and batch glass orders for production utilizing A & W Printing Travelers to adhere to the production floor paperwork for proper tracking Generating and printing screen labels for production to complete Submitting RUSH orders Maintaining constant thorough communication with our vendors Researching orders placed and submitting remake orders for upper management Compiling End of Month Inventory CORE COMPETENCIES Strong communication skills, both written and verbal required. Writes clearly and informatively Excellent people skills necessary to provide exceptional customer service Must be able to multi-task, and demonstrate strong organizational skills Ability to work independently and as a team; exercise sound judgement Computer literacy with the ability to learn new computer software WORK ENVIRONMENT This job operates mainly in an office environment but may occasionally be required to go into a production environment.
