You will be part of a core team of talented industry specialists working with the latest hardware and software technology.THE PERSON:The ideal candidate should be passionate about software engineering, possess leadership skills, and be capable of driving resolution of sophisticated issues. Effective communication and collaboration across teams at AMD are essential.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with AMD's architecture specialists to improve future products
• Apply a data-minded approach to optimize efforts
• Stay informed of trends and innovations in software and hardware, especially related to algorithms and architecture
• Design and develop groundbreaking AMD technologies
• Participate in ASIC and hardware bring-up processes
• Debug and fix existing issues and research more efficient solutions
• Develop technical relationships with peers and partnersPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Strong object-oriented programming background, preferably in C/C++
  • Ability to write high-quality, detail-oriented code
  • Experience with modern concurrent programming and threading APIs
  • Experience with Windows, Linux, and/or Android OS development
  • Familiarity with software development tools such as debuggers, source control (GitHub), and profilers is a plus
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Motivating leadership and good interpersonal skillsACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
