CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)

Hours per Shift: 11AM-8PM; Saturday/Sunday every other weekend
3-11:30 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Required
Certifications: ARRT, BLS Certification, Certified CT Technologist
- ARRT (CT), Fluoroscopy Must-Have: GE scanner experience preferred
Description: Radiology department performs general CT imaging. The
types of imaging/studies include head, abdomen, and pelvis. The
technologist will not assist with procedures. The department is
equipped with 3 scanners. There may be a need to float/cover in
Xray and CT. The average number of scans/studies performed daily
varies. The department uses Centricity for tracking. The specific
equipment includes GE scanners. There is a lead tech available
24/7. There are no Registered Radiology Assistants utilized.
Radiologists are in-house during the day until 6 PM; thereafter,
external radiologists are utilized. IV starts are not required in
this department. Scheduling is managed by the manager with no
self-scheduling option. Shifts are 8 hours, starting at 8:00 AM,
3:30 PM, and 11:00 AM. Two staff members will be present at all
times during shifts. Every other weekend work is required.
Flexibility is necessary for holiday work. There are no call or
standby requirements involved. Ceil blue scrubs are the dress code;
scrubs are not provided but are available from the hospital.
Department-specific orientation includes a tour of the unit
followed by one week of training. Candidates should be flexible and
adaptable to meet department needs. The department values
