Store Manager Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of store operations and influence team
performance.
- Create a sales-driven culture by developing personalized
solutions for guests and providing outstanding service through
professional conduct and passion for gaming.
- Ensure products are visible and accessible, promote product
knowledge, maintain a clean environment, and grow guest
loyalty.
- Supervise retail staff, which may vary based on store size and
location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead in a multiunit capacity, providing exemplary guest service
and promoting store initiatives.
- Process transactions accurately using POS systems, including
handling returns, making change, and issuing receipts.
- Respond to guest inquiries in person and via phone
professionally.
- Promote store programs such as reservations, trade-ins, and
loyalty rewards.
- Recruit, train, assess, and retain high-performing staff,
ensuring onboarding and compliance training are completed.
- Communicate regularly with staff and district management to
implement initiatives and set service expectations.
- Manage staff scheduling, approve payroll, and ensure timely
payments.
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and proper
merchandising.
- Fulfill Omni-Channel orders and manage inventory counts and
restocking.
- Implement inventory control and loss prevention measures,
including safety protocols.
- Lead sales and profit goals, reconcile daily transactions, and
manage bank deposits.
- Inspect shipments, process recalls, and ensure accurate stock
management.
- Prioritize safety, address hazards, and report injuries
promptly.
- Maintain organized records and manuals.
- Build partnerships with military personnel if
applicable.
- Adhere to company policies, including the Code of Standards and
Ethics.
Qualifications
- Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
- At least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in business or
related field preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of retail management experience; 3 years of
sales/guest service experience preferred.
- Video game knowledge is a plus.
Key Skills and Abilities
- Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills, bilingual in English/Spanish
preferred.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team.
- Operate POS systems and perform basic math and
alphabetizing.
- Follow instructions, manage stress, and adapt to
change.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and judgmental.
- Physical ability to stand, move, and lift up to 30
lbs.
- Understanding of military ranks if applicable.
