copy and content for Sam's Club Marketing and run point on ensuring
exceptional quality and on-brand adherence of copy deliverables
from our creative agency partners. Job DescriptionDrives the copy &
editorial content execution of our brand voice and marketing
strategies for multiple verticals across Sam's Club omnichannel
marketing, for membership and seasonal/programmatic campaigns.
Oversees the editorial execution of key program components
including websites and apps, direct mail & catalogs, email
campaigns, social campaigns, landing pages by writing strategic,
branded copy.Helps guide creative agencies in delivering
exceptional quality copy and content based on program briefs and
creative briefs. Oversees adherence to compliance and legal
requirements including accessibility as it applies to editorial
elements, search engine optimization (SEO) best practices, and
brand personality. Manages the day-to-day development of editorial
content-including writing, reviewing, editing, providing feedback
on, and approving content deliverables; and evaluating content
performance and developing contingency plans to address performance
concerns. Plans for resourcing optimization of copy functions and
alerts creative leadership of any related gaps/needs. Prioritizes
and recommends solutions for issues regarding implementation of
brand personality, tone and voice, integrating action plans into
future content and campaigns. Key management driver in shaping the
content tone and voice of Sam's Club. Recommends and drives
implementation of workflow process enhancements. Maintains strong
agency and cross-functional relationships; collaborates with
strategic partners to develop key content strategies, content
marketing calendars, and naming, taglines & editorial concepts for
special campaigns. Ensures that our creative agency partners are
producing work that reflects and communicates Sam's Club creative,
category marketing, membership marketing and brand marketing
strategies, objectives, and standards to bring about the highest
quality agency work. Nurtures, supports and leverages opportunities
& relationships with copy and content agency partners and
cross-functional partners including Membership, Category Marketing,
Digital Marketing, Brand & Social Marketing, and Site
Ops/Merchandising. Recommends and advocates for decision making
that drives the development of strategically sound content to drive
the member experience. Supports creative leadership in
anticipating, seeking out and recommending the development of new
content initiatives.
