With a range of flexible pricing and buying models, including self-service; these solutions help businesses build brand awareness, engage with Walmart consumers, and convert Walmart consumers to shoppers.Walmart Media Group is seeking experienced sales professionals to help build and sell Walmart Media Group's advertising solutions to our key partners benefiting from our proven conversion driven and brand building solutions. You'll contribute to a high-caliber team in a business that is experiencing rapid and dramatic growth. We are looking for demonstrated performance in a constantly changing, ambiguous environment; and problem-solving leadership with limited oversight.As a Sales Strategy Lead on our Sales Operations team you will report to the Director of Sales Operations and use your 8+ years of media experience within Planning, Strategy, Ad Ops, and/or Insights & Analytics to partner w/various cross-functional to a) identify opportunities for improvement on existing in-market sales activities b) partner w/Insights & Analytics team to better understand macro sales trends to inform monetization strategies - product mix, operational inefficiencies, systems development, etc. c) partner with Product and Ops on valuation, messaging, timing of Betas and new product rollouts and d) Support and challenge media strategy through insightful media analyses in partnership with our Insights & Analytics team.The ideal candidate will have strong understanding of the media industry, agency landscape as well as the ad tech side of the ecosystem. This is a highly analytical, cross-functional, and operationally focused role. This role will align with the Sales Strategy Manager and counterparts within the broader WMG organization (Product, Ad Ops, Insights & Analytics and Marketing).Responsibilities:

  • Develop streamlined process of testing new product features/tools, valuation of new products, and betas for sales organization to execute against that aligns with overall sales strategy.
  • Partner w/ Insights & Analytics team along with Marketing to generate data driven insights into internal consumer-based trends at a macro and vertical specific level as well as leveraging external market performance data and research.
  • Discover areas of operational inefficiencies between Campaign Management, Account Management, and Ad Operations and work w/respective stakeholders to define and implement key workflows between the teams.
  • Identify, scope and drive critical projects and initiatives that help drive revenue in a scalable and operationally efficient manner
  • Frame and break down complex business problems into key components, design analysis to drive insights and answers to critical questions, and recommend practical solutions to get results
  • Collect & analyze data, information, and research (e.g., market data, competitive analysis, etc.) through quantitative and qualitative mechanisms to make decisions on critical strategic issue
  • Support management in strategic, operational planning and ensure decisions align overall WMG sales approach and goals
  • Establish operational excellence and ensure we have strong plans and KPIs in place at an industry level for our Global and SMB level clients.
  • Partner with Sales Partnerships lead to develop alternative monetization strategies that include third parties using a data driven approach.
  • Discover and drive new solutions and improvements across the sales platforms, tools, and processes
  • Partner w/Insights & Analytics to understand current product mix and how existing sales strategy is impacting/changing the portfolio and understanding revenue implications. Qualifications:
    • 8+ years work experience in media industry in planning, ad operations, sales operations, or strategy.
    • Experience with Salesforce, SQL relational databases and BI tools like Tableau
    • Intermediate or advanced skills in Excel and SQL is a plus.
    • Experienced in developing long-term media strategies based on data insights.
    • Strong analytic and quantitative skills, that enable you to use data to develop, validate and measure multi-channel campaigns.
    • Strong knowledge of media research, trafficking, tracking and reporting processes, techniques and technologies
    • Experience with data driven marketing (e.g with a data management platform) is a plus
    • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple, simultaneous solutions executed by support teams.
    • Excellent relationship building, stakeholder management, and communication skills
    • Experience developing or overseeing quantitative analysis and delivering actionable insights
    • Ambitious self-starter mentality and entrepreneurial spirit with a strong drive for excellence and delivery of results.
