Tik Tok . Job Description Purpose Under the direction of the
Research and Development Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS)
management, this individual will provide guidance on EHS matters
and EHS training to employees and contractors in AbbVie South San
Francisco. The EHS staff specialist will communicate and
collaborate with business stakeholders and other EHS team members
to implement and align programs and EHS policies which drive change
and build a positive safety culture at our South San Francisco
campus. This position will create programs, policies, procedures,
hazard assessments and training materials to ensure compliance with
the companys EHS Management System, as well as with local county
and state EHS regulations. Responsibilities Interprets,
communicates, and implements programs, policies, and procedures to
ensure compliance with all applicable local EHS regulations and
AbbVie technical and management standards. Develops and delivers
EHS training on a wide variety of general safety topics such as
hazard communication, contractor safety, emergency response and
various physical safety programs. Implement EHS programs and
initiatives including, but not limited to 1) Hazard risk assessment
and implementation of controls 2) High hazard control and critical
safe work such as lockout tagout, confined space, working at
heights 3) Industrial hygiene studies. Conduct Injury/illness
investigations and root cause analysis, as well as report safety
performance indicators and implement corrective and preventive
actions. Assists in the development and implementation of strategic
programs, plans, policies, and procedures to protect all personnel,
facilities, and the environment. Qualifications Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree (EHS related, Engineering, chemistry) plus minimum
3 years of EHS related experience or Associate Degree and Advanced
Safety Specialist Certification plus minimum 8 years of EHS related
experience. Professional EHS or Engineering certification is
preferred. Working experience in implementing EHS regulations,
conducting incident investigations, interacting with regulatory
agencies and external organizations, and managing cross functional
teams Development of practical, applicable standards and/or
policies that meet business objectives. Technical expertise in the
EHS functions as well as technical writing and business
communications. Ability to actively listen, build and maintain
effective working relationships with internal/ external colleagues
and stakeholders, and resolve conflict. Ability to successfully
manage projects and programs. Ability to provide clear, concise,
and effective verbal communications and well-developed written
communication and presentation skills. Ability to plan, organize,
delegate, and follow-up on workflow in a team environment to meet
departmental goals and objectives. Well organized and have
excellent attention to detail and thoroughness. Proven ability to
use email, Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point and databases.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible
base pay compensation that the Company believes ingood faith it
will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job
grade for this position. Individualcompensation paid within this
range will depend on many factors including geographic location,

range may be modified in the future. We offer a comprehensive
