User Interface Engineer

Supernal is at the forefront of creating emerging mobility solutions that will foster the development of human-centered cities. We are designing a completely new electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft tailored to the mobility needs of future cities. This allows passengers a seamless intermodal journey that safely transports them to their final destination. We fuse research in autonomy, robotics, aviation and services to define a new category of mobility for the world's communities. What we do:
The User Interface Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and software engineers, to understand user requirements and translate them into visually appealing and functional user interface designs.
This position will be required to work on-site 5 days a week.
What you can do:


  • Develop responsive and interactive user interfaces for web and mobile applications using front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related frameworks
  • Implement user-centered design principles to build intuitive and user-friendly interfaces that optimize user workflow and efficiency
  • Collaborate with designers to ensure the seamless integration of visual design elements, including color schemes, typography, and graphics, into the user interface
  • Conduct thorough usability testing and gather user feedback to iterate and improve the user interface design
  • Ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility of the user interface by utilizing modern web standards and best practices
  • Optimize the performance of the user interface, including page load times and responsiveness, to deliver a smooth and enjoyable user experience
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in user interface design and front-end development, proactively suggesting improvements and new approaches
  • Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front-end components with server-side logic, ensuring the seamless functionality of the overall application
  • Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code, following coding standards and best practices
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to maintain high-quality codebase
  • Document and communicate technical designs, implementation details, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team
  • May require up to 10% of domestic and international travel
  • Other related duties as assigned

    What you can contribute:

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required
    • Minimum three (3) years of experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
    • Proficiency in front-end web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js)
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Proactive delivery of communication and follow up
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Must have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
