Job Description:
Year Up is seeking a dynamic and passionate Software Development
Training Facilitator to join our team, dedicated to transforming
the lives of young adults by bridging the gap between academic
learning and real-world job skills. This role involves the delivery
of a comprehensive software development curriculum, mentorship, and
support to young adults, preparing them for successful careers in
the technology sector. The ideal candidate will bring robust
industry knowledge, a commitment to education, and the ability to
inspire and motive young learners. Prepare and deliver engaging
software development curriculum and workshops. Evaluate and adapt
training materials based on learner needs and industry trends.
Provide one-on-one mentoring and support to students throughout the
training period. Assess student progress and provide feedback to
improve their technical and professional skills. Collaborate with
industry partners to enhance internship experiences for students.
Stay updated with the latest software development technologies and
teaching methods. Proficiency in multiple programming languages
(e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) Strong understanding of software
development frameworks and principles Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills Ability to design and implement effective
curriculum and educational materials Industry certifications in
software development (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional,
Certified ScrumMaster) Teaching certification in applicable state
or region is preferred but not required
