Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Occupational Therapist - Discipline: Therapy - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours - Employment Type: Local Contract Full time Occupational Therapist needed near Emery, CA area (School-based) /n /nOccupational Therapist (OT) – School-Based, Full-Time /nLocation: Emery, CA area /nSchedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 37.5 hours/week /nStart Date: August 2025 (for the 2025–2026 school year) /nCompensation: $55–$70/hour, based on experience and skillset /n/n Position Overview: /nWe are seeking a full-time, licensed Occupational Therapist to support students across a full range of grade levels in the Emery, CA area for the 2025–2026 school year. This position is school-based and involves working with a diverse caseload of students with varying needs. /n/n Daily Responsibilities: /n/n /n/t - /n/t Conduct assessments to evaluate students' fine motor, sensory, visual-motor, self-help, and functional skills within the educational environment /n/t /n/t - /n/t Develop individualized goals and treatment plans in alignment with students' IEPs /n/t /n/t - /n/t Provide direct therapy services focused on fine motor development, handwriting, self-regulation, sensory processing, visual-perceptual skills, and functional school participation /n/t /n/t - /n/t Assist students with adaptive equipment and environmental modifications to increase access to curriculum and school routines /n/t /n/t - /n/t Support students in developing independence in tasks such as dressing, toileting, feeding, and organizing materials /n/t /n/t - /n/t Collaborate with teachers and classroom teams to integrate OT strategies into daily instruction and classroom activities /n/t /n/t - /n/t Model and train staff on sensory strategies, classroom modifications, and motor planning support /n/t /n/t - /n/t Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to goal setting, and provide regular updates on student progress /n/t /n/t - /n/t Maintain timely and accurate documentation of services, assessments, and communications /n/t /n/t - /n/t Participate in district-level collaboration and multidisciplinary team meetings as needed /n/t /n/t - /n/t Maintain professional standards and comply with all FERPA, HIPAA, and district regulations /n/t /n /n/n Qualifications: /n/n /n/t - /n/t Master’s degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program /n/t /n/t - /n/t Valid California Occupational Therapy License /n/t /n/t - /n/t NBCOT certification /n/t /n/t - /n/t Prior experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred /n/t /n/t - /n/t Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills /n/t /n/t - /n/t Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team /n/t /n /n/n Compensation: /n/n /n/t - $55–$70/hour, depending on experience, education, and clinical expertise /n/t - Full-time schedule aligned with the academic calendar (approximately 37.5 hours/week) /n /n/n Why Work With RCM? /nSince 1975, RCM Health Care Services has specialized in providing school districts with equal access to Special Education services such as Speech-Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, ABA Therapy, Behavioral and Mental Health services, Special Education Teachers, Paraprofessionals as well as Nursing services to many of the nation's top 100 school districts. /n /nThrough years of experience of focusing on an educationally based approach, RCM Health Care Services understands exactly what school districts and providers need to meet student IEP goals.
